How do you talk to someone unrelated to you about sex,puberty, teenage problems, etc?

I’m really close with my ex-girlfriends family and her parents recently got divorced. Her younger brother is 15 and has had a troubled life due to his parents. He reminds me a lot of myself when i was his age and I wish i had someone older and reliable to talk to. just be there for him. just remind him whenever he needs someone to talk or hang out or if he ever wants to know about something ask you.
just say you got his back.

Stop presuming–you sound creepy. You wait for him to choose his confidante (it might never be you).
If you are “really close”, he probably already knows he can talk to you. But until you make the offer, he probably won’t feel comfortable bringing you into his confidence.
Let him know that you remember what it was like for you growing up, and how you wished you had someone to talk to. Let him know that you will always listen to him when he wants to talk – about anything at all. And ALWAYS try to be in a public place (restaurant, park, etc.) when you have these chats with him.
i think that u sould say too him ”hey if u need too talk about somethings i mean boy things just ask me” if he being awkward about it he is not ready for all that suff.
thats kinda risky..
but just start awt like “if u have anything u wanna ask about anythin.. dont get scared..im just here..” Hi-light the anything’s on that..hehe
dont go to their house and ask him” hey u wanna know to make sex??” now thats weird. AND pervertlike.
and about girls n all other teenage problems, thats just a more free-spirited text.
oh dont tend to be overdramatic.. he might think of something else.. im 14 and thats what my older friend told me..
I think that this is great that you care enough about your ex-girlfriends brother that you want to help him. Why don’t you take him to a movie, bowling, ball game, etc. and just talk to him~let him know that he can call you or whatever~whenever he needs a friend. Also let him know that whatever he may talk to you about stays between you and him. Ask him to kind of think of you as an older brother & friend. Just hang out with him!!

Stuff like that will come in time. I had a similar situation, and as time progressed my younger friend opened up to me. Just be there for him, and as you two become closer, the conversation will start to flow. Don’t push things like this. It will come in time.
