How old are you?
Um, First off. I asked your age because if your like 13 or something then you Mom is completely right!
Second, You asked the question, I don’t need to try to figure out all your info just to answer a simple question.
Third, you need to check your fuckin attitude. Your the one who asked the question.
THANKS!
I would try and compromise with your mom. When I wanted to start wearing makeup, I also had to start using face scrubs and such.
Also, instead of dark mascara, I used clear. Still gives the same affect, just not as dark.
Stay with neutral colors, and don’t overdue it. No lipstick, stick with lip gloss, even if it’s natural colored.
Don’t use blush, use a bronzer. It looks more natural and your mom won’t be upset seeing those rosy red, clearly fake, cheeks.
I’m not the parent of a teenager but will be someday (I have a 6 year old daughter) and was one myself not too long ago (I’m now 25).
This is a true story: When I was 12, I was over at a friend’s house. We did “makeovers” on each other and decided to go to the mall (her parents were older and her dad didn’t care much what we did.) Needless to say, I’m sure we looked like little….well, you know. Anyways, we walked around the mall and who do I see but my mom, who was on her lunch break. She didn’t say a word to me, just walked right past. I was terrified of the wrath I would face when I got home.
That night, my mom came home from work. INstead of getting in trouble, she came into my room with a small bag of CoverGirl makeup that she had purchased for me. “If you’re going to wear makeup,” she said, “at least let me show you how to put it on.” She taught me how to put on natural looking makeup (she had bought me some light eyeshadow, lipgloss, pale pink blush….things like that).
You don’t state your age but I think when you hit that tween/teen stage, it is okay to allow a little bit of makeup. Obviously, I’m not into seeing young girls with thick rings of black eyeliner on their eyes, but I think a little eyeshadow, blush, and some clear or brown mascara is just fine.
it really just depends on your age, i love makeup and believe it or not my mom use to have to force me to wear it, just because i wasnt’ into it very much.
i started when i was 13..and mascara and eyeliner does no harm….tell her that
well.. am 21 and my mother never prohibited me to wear makeup. I think that parents do the mistake to prohibit there kids to do things.. Instead they should talk to them about it and if anything allow you to wear some.. may be not mascara but some eyeliner or no eyeliner but some mascara.. and the more mature you act and use the make up responsibly then she should consider you using more like eyeliner and mascara..
I think parents do the mistake to just tell there kids “no you can’t do this or that”
Instead of being quick to say NO they should sit down with you and tell you the reasons. no one likes to be told no and that’s it.. People understand better with examples of why this is wrong.. That’s why the kid doesn’t go behind the parents back and do it anyways.
Talk to you mom.. and tell her that is she’s going to tell you no to give you a good reason. Or try to come to an agreement with her..
I don’t’ know how old you are.. but I’m pretty sure youdon’t’ need make up. I’m 21 and hardly wear makeup.. i personally dont’ like it that much.. And guys like girls who are more natural looking that have a cake face..(just a little advice)
Im thirteen and in when I was nine I begged for make up. My mom died when i was 10 so i got make up when I was 11, I never wear it really. No one does now and im in 7th grade it doesnt matter really until you get into high school tell her you will only wear it on weekends at first. or go into town (to wallgreens os something) without telling her ald buy brown eye shadow or something
