A question asked by Grasshoppa_01: What music video is partially set in a cafe with a teenage boy singing/ screaming at his parents?
I think there’s a scene where a kid is listening to his headphones in the car and one minute he’s not saying anything, then next he’s screaming at his parents.
No, it’s not that recent. It’s late 90′s early 2000′s. Alternative style. It wasn’t Live I don’t think, but it’s in the genre and time frame.

Some Insight Into Music Classes

Music classes are available for those who are interested in furthering their appreciation and ability to play this art form. There are a variety of ways to take such courses and interested parties will find that instruction is offered at all levels of ability. Depending on the instrument involved, the class will take a particular form. In some cases, students can take lessons without a teacher, or human teacher that is. Following is more detailed information regarding such courses.

Taking formal musical courses is a great way to further an understanding of this precious art form. Formal courses are those course which offer some sort of methodical approach to studying. The approach will most likely be cumulative, meaning the lesson plans will build on each other as the student progresses through them. This type of formal training has been shown to offer some of the best results in musical training.

Students can find course offerings at pretty much every level of competency, from the beginner to the advanced professional. In some rare cases, students of varying levels of competency may share classroom time. This is not common and only usually happens in group ensemble playing situations. The most common set up is having students of the same competency level learning together.

There is also the option of taking courses alone or with others. The advantage of taking them alone is that you have the whole music teacher to yourself. His time will not be divided amongst you and other pupils. Your problems and current lessons will be all the teacher will be focusing on if you are having solo lessons.

Studying with others allows students to compliments each others’ learning processes. When this happens, students tend to learn much faster. Studies show that when pupils are engaged in group study, they flesh out problems each are having and solve them through group processes. Studying with others also allows the pupils to play together, thus furthering learning.

Many course offerings will not have an actual teacher present. These will be course such as those found on the internet or in books. There are plenty of materials available such as videos and the like which are effective in teaching students musical principals. For students in remote areas, without access to teachers, this has been a very helpful tool.

In the end, however, any true and complete journey through music lessons will most likely result in face to face lessons with a competent and professional teacher. There is really no way to sufficiently progress without eventually having quality course time with a teacher. A teacher that is present can give you real time instruction and watch you progress with the eye of a professional instructor.

Music classes are available to further yourself in the world of music. It does not matter if whether you are a professional or a beginner; there is always more studying that can be done in the musical realm. And there are plenty of different ways to study musical knowledge, giving interested students loads of choices.

Question by English teacher from Germany: What would be a great song to introduce German teenagers to country music?
Hello!

I’m an English teacher in Germany and want to introduce my 8th graders to country music next week.

I am looking for a good song that deals with a teenager-parent conflict.

The only one I have is from Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show; it is called Sylvia’s mother. But I would sooo love to play a better one for my class.

We are currently talking about the Midwest and Nebraska in particular.

Looking forward to real expert answers! Thanks in advance.

Summer Day Camps Are For Everyone

With school soon letting out, parents and kids begin to think about what they are going to do in the months ahead. For many summer day camps are the perfect answer. Throughout the country many and varied programs are being set up as in years past. Whether you enroll in a short day or extended care facility, day camps fit the bill for kids of all ages and parents who work.

Going back about five generations the YMCA began holding day camps to meet the needs of communities. Prior to that time most kids spent the summer visiting rural relatives to escape the summer heat of the city. And the county kids looked forward to visiting the big city with its hustle and bustle.

Not so today. Activities for children are found wherever they live. Whether you are looking to learn about the great out of doors or have your sights on becoming a great scientist, these camps are your ticket.

It used to be that summer school was the only option to help kids retain the skills they had learned during the school term. Today these camps offer a better alternative. Parents can still spend their money on the week long camps located away from home. However, more and more are choosing to enroll their children in day long programs. These offer a wide variety of activities and are very affordable to the point of being free in some cases

If your child needs to improve his musical abilities, there are special classes available. They not only teach your child how to read music but focus on individual technique With computers being used everywhere there are camps day sessions that offer children the opportunity to become proficient with them. There are even classes for the vocalist or orchestra leader in your family.

Most children love animals and many zoos offer children a summer program that lets them get up close and personal with many types of animals. Some marine parks allow the children to interact with water animal in their natural environment. They learn about the care, feeding and training of many types of creatures. An overnight session may be offered for those who wish to visit animals that are awake at night.

Many cities boast of a community center. These places may be small or large based on the size of the city. Their programs may include theatre arts classes and a variety of indoor sports. Some teach martial arts and help kids know how to protect themselves. All seem to boast of a swimming pool. You can usually find sports camps that will help get your kids get ready for their favorite once tryouts begin in the fall.

If you want an old fashion experience for your child it too can be found in the summer day camps experience. Everyone remembers the fun of learning about fire safety while singing around the campfire. Hiking through the forest or romping on the beach is so much fun. There is nothing like enjoying the great out of doors. Then we cannot forget the arts and crafts, camp music, storytelling and friends we met over the summer vacation.

Find just the right camp for your son or daughter. Whether it’s music summer camps Orange County or the summer camp San Diego at your local elementary school, your choices are many.

High School for Parents: The Vamphlet

draconate asked:

As a project for a course in the College of Education at Ferris State University, this video gives a few of the do’s and do-not’s of parenting teenagers. I apologize for the audio quality in some of it… sucky camera, anyway… I do not own the music. The footage is mine, with the exception of the “Footloose” segment. Copyright © 2010. Pinkerton asked:

Do they think that your music suck? Do they think that you ruin all the fun? Do they ever say that you don’t understand them? Do you embarrass them in front of their friends?
Do you use words and terms that just leave you dumbfounded?
