My sisters teenage boys do not listen and barely ever help out around the house….I honestly think its because their dad is gone and they take advantage of my sister…..How to turn around? I keep telling her to kick the 20yr old out….But what mom can do that?

A mom who wants to teach her son some responsibility. Growing up without a father it falls more on their mother to teach them respect and responsibility. She failed here, this is not to say that she is a bad mother, just that she failed at the most important part. If he is 20 then it is too late for him, he will have to come around on his own, but how old is the other one. She needs to take away everything she gives to them until they can learn to give a little back. Otherwise they will always use her and take advantage of the situation. Just because they don’t have a father doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be disciplined and taught that you only get when you give. Good luck to her, I hope she gets a backbone with her children before they go into the world with their hands out.
